A collaboration between Pure Romance and OnePoll has shed light on the most prevalent rituals Americans engage in before and after sex, emphasizing the importance of fitness, cleanliness, and flavorful experiences.
Ever find yourself ordering takeout after a passionate encounter? If so, you're among the 21% of Americans who do the same. A OnePoll study, conducted with Pure Romance, polled 2,000 adults to investigate the sexual rituals common among Americans.
Findings show that 38% of Americans maintain a specific ritual linked to their sexual activities. For 40% of these individuals, the rituals are pre-sex, with 64% aiming to enhance their sexual enjoyment. Notably, 10% work out in anticipation of sex. The study lists the top 10 pre and post-sex rituals that might be quite intriguing.
The study confirms that men and women have different concerns when it comes to sex. A significant number of women prepare themselves before sex to avoid self-consciousness, while 58% of men engage in pre-sex rituals to feel more desirable and enjoy the intimate experience. The main worries during sex differ between genders, according to the participants' admissions.
Patty Brisben, Founder of Pure Romance, suggests that both men and women seek various methods to ensure their partners' satisfaction in bed. She recommends openness to using lubricants, sex toys, and blindfolds to elevate the experience.
It appears that many participants are aware of foods like oysters and chocolate as aphrodisiacs. The study found 15% of Americans consume specific foods prior to sex, with chocolate being a popular choice. However, the quest for an exceptional sexual experience doesn't end with food; Americans are also turning to sex toys and exciting locations to keep their sexual experiences fresh.
The study's results highlight a positive aspect of sexual relationships: over half of Americans focus on their partner's pleasure during sex, a ritual that is widely supported.
